I often have between 50 and 400 tabs open at once. I can say my home desktop is an Intel Core i7 with 64GB and I have managed to run well over 50+ Google Chrome tabs without any issue, I only did this a couple times just to see what happened and because I was bored but I was not disappointed that everything worked without any major issues. If you are suffering performance with Firefox/Chrome you might look to upgrade the memory in your laptop if that is possible, it may help with your 20+ browser tab experience. However, I have heard from a few friends that they like Opera although I have never personally used it in the last 10+ years so I cannot give you a solid opinion/judgement on that software. ![]() However, there are users at my job that run Intel Core i7 with 8GB memory desktops that use Firefox with easily 20+ tabs open throughout the day and rarely see any major performance issues the same goes for users of Google Chrome like myself. I am a bit of a Google Chrome fanboy mainly because I have so many things tied to and the bad taste that Firefox left me a couple years ago.
