My max knowledge is very limited, someone else might be able to figure this one out. Because unlike my first comment, this does not work. Now if anyone can explain me how to get the presets working and neural network, that would be great. Beware that the default sound is almost inaudible because all the default values are zero, meaning levels, eq, panning etc are all set to hard left. I didn't even need to do so, because this one found mine automatically. So the solution is to just drop the on all drum cells. But the is the newer one that does contain the "select plugin manually" option. I now understand this drum rack cells are loaded with "" files (you can't see the name in the drum cell name, because it (cleverly) automatically renames them to numbers). In Xanadu's comment he refers to the option to select your plugin manually and I could not find that. I loaded that one and could not understand how to link this to my vst. There is a "Microtonic Drumrack.adg" in the Microtonic Drumrack Project folder. after a few days of tinkering this is what I found: (must be logged in to rate devices login) This package comes with a user manual and a technical reference. You can load as many MicroTonic drumpads or other drumsounds into the drumrack as you like. For loading presets the pads must be placed on the notes C1 to G1. The first pad of these are used for making a sound. Each drumpad has an embedded MicroTonic VSTi inside. You can drag the Microtonic Drumrack.adg into your Ableton song. If this doesn't work for you you can manually select your plug-in. You need to place your own ‘Microtonic Multi.dll’ file into the VSTi subfolder. Then add this to ‘Places’ in Ableton Live. However the AI is doing it’s work reasonably well.įirst you need to unzip the downloaded file and find a nice place for it on your computer. This needs to be replaced by a recent version. The neural network is using an old version of the brain by Heather Arthur. To avoid this you can delete the drum rack before closing Ableton. There is an issue Ableton Live will crash when closing with active MicroTonic Drumpads. The downside of this is that I will only provide minimal technical support if you have issues using the device. That way there will only be one codebase for it. Instead please ask me to integrate your code into my device. However I ask you not to distribute your own altered versions. The code is open and can be changed in the MaxForLive editor to your liking. Although I’ve spent a lot of time constructing this device I decided not to make it commercially available. This package is freely available for download ‘as is’. This package comes with some usefull extra features. There are more devices for the MicroTonic here on, but I think there is room left for one more. Finally I’m content with this approach which allows the use of standard MicroTonic presets and integrates the parameters for use from the Push2. Through the years I’ve tried several times to integrate the MicroTonic into a Drum Rack. Ableton’s Drum Rack can be used easily from my Push 2. It’s about 15 years old now, but I don’t think it shows it’s age.Ībleton Live is my main DAW. For each drumpad 23 parameters can do the job. You can get almost any drumsound from the same drumsynth. I like the MicroTonic drums from Sonic Charge a lot. Device Details Device Overview Name/Version:
